Gutters
Service Description
Gutter Installation Assessment & Planning Inspect roofline and fascia boards to ensure they’re in good condition. Measure roof edges to calculate linear footage and determine number of downspouts needed. Choose gutter type (seamless aluminum, vinyl, copper, steel, half-round, or K-style). Preparation Remove old gutters (if present). Repair or replace rotten fascia boards. Check roof drip edge to make sure water flows correctly into the gutter. Installation Cut gutter sections to size (or form seamless gutters on-site with a gutter machine). Attach hangers or brackets securely to fascia (spacing typically every 2–3 feet). Ensure proper slope toward downspouts (about ¼ inch drop per 10 feet). Install end caps, corners, and seal all joints. Mount downspouts, elbows, and extensions to direct water away from foundation. Finishing Seal connections with gutter sealant. Test system with water to ensure proper drainage. Gutter Repair Repairs vary depending on the problem: Leaks Seal cracks or holes with gutter sealant or patch kits. Replace sections too damaged to seal. Sagging or Pulling Away Tighten or replace loose gutter hangers. Re-secure fascia board if rotten or damaged. Clogs Remove debris (leaves, twigs, dirt). Flush with hose to confirm flow. Recommend adding gutter guards if clogs are frequent. Improper Pitch Adjust hangers to correct slope for proper water flow. Downspout Issues Reconnect loose joints. Replace crushed or disconnected downspouts. Add splash blocks or extensions to carry water away from the house. Optional Add-ons Gutter guards/screens to prevent clogging. Larger downspouts for high-volume drainage. Rain barrels for water collection. Heat cables in cold climates to prevent ice dams.
